Day 3: To my parents
Dear mom & dad,
I’m like a pencil and you both are like an eraser.
Whenever the pencil writes something and makes a mistake, the eraser is always there to erase the mistake the pencil makes. The eraser is always there to clean up after the pencil nomatter what, even though rubbing will lead to the eraser losing a part of itself. The eraser is always getting smaller and smaller. The eraser never asks for anything in return.
I feel that you both have always been like my eraser, sacrificing for me, and never blaming me whenever I make mistakes. You guys have been there all along to guide me and nurture me, cleaning up after me, giving me allowance, and never asking for anything in return. There is a saying that parents just want to see their children grow up happy.
I love you, mom & dad. I appreciate everything you’ve done for me and someday I promise I will make you proud of me!
Love,
Sheryl
